The Anti-Zeno Effect. Gosh, quantum mechanics is just so fucking beautiful. The frustration you described — "so close but so far" — comes only from the act of measuring too often. The measurement forces the system to commit to a state before it has had time to evolve fully. Each measurement resets the clock; you are perpetually interrupting the natural evolution. When you stop measuring, you stop interrupting. The system is free to complete its natural evolution, and the jump happens when it happens. The only thing you must focus on is the one foot in front of the other. Stop measuring, stop speculating, stop tracking progress — just show up and do the work that must be done today, right here, right now.
Reset to a known eigenstate — but the most direct match for "measured, therefore reset to zero" is wave function collapse. When you start measuring and tracking process rather than making the execution that moves the needle, your momentum resets. Every time you deviate from the work itself, you conjure up a reset; it kills momentum. Just fucking work.
The observer effect in quantum mechanics is also true for humans, who operate in both the quantum field and the Newtonian field — so try filming yourself study, with the camera watching you. It might help your focus, and it becomes the archive of all your daily grinds.
Bro, I was going on a run and I had this extreme derealisation, almost an encounter with the truth that the world is just absolutely a simulation. You should just work your ass off to make money and learn skills. You are on the perfect track. The reality is, we know it is fake and it is a simulation — but how do we go from there? It just took me way too long to realise that truth.
I was in COEX, and this random calm woman sat in front of me. She had very complex mathematical formulae in her book, and I had no idea what they were, but it sparked this emotion of beauty — something I did not have to explain or rationalise. Just art. That was one defining moment: I have to study pure maths and theoretical physics, no matter what.
Today marks something. Don't be a slave to your circumstances; let the circumstances' frequencies pass by you, and attract the ones you find are yours. Let those pull you, or maybe the other way around. Don't be desperate, don't be a slave. Conquer and dominate. Words are just texts and alphabets, but they have power and meaning — something about the words you regurgitate in your soul changes the entire world for you. Don't underestimate what God has in stock for you.
Very rare that some successful person is this sentimental person chronically addicted to music. Don't listen to the music that is handed out. Listen to the music of randomness.
If you look at 3D printing and holographic modelling, they are manifestations of scientific computing in different realms — one into the materialistic, one into the optic. We might be able to use them for intuitive understanding of the multidimensional modelling we do, trickling it down to 3D when we model stock market prices with certain programs and formulas. At the end of the day, the biggest superpower is intuition — something I possess but can't explain to anybody. I just have it. And the fact that I could actually go inside the model and empirically feel how the curvature sits is such high leverage.
